For the last six years, the Scholarship Foundation has been granting scholarships for a six-week English Immersion program at SUNY, Oswego in upstate New York.

This past summer, seven students from the Hotel and Restaurant Administration program at the UPR, Carolina campus attended the program including Dorimar Alicea Morales, Marleen Miranda Diaz, Ruben Orlando Padilla Alvarado, Milton J. Maldonado Torres, Duquelia Consuegra Cruz, Katherine Medina Santiago and Katiely Marie Ortiz Serrano.

“My experience in Oswego was the best! SUNY Oswego is a good institution and the professors, tutors, coordinators, conversation partners and others were amazing with the students.” Duquelia Consuegra Cruz, English Emmersion Scholarship Recipient

"One of the best, if not the best summer of my life. I never thought that studying could be so fun. We had wonderful proffessors, each of which were special and left their personal grain of sand for us to remember them. Their technique was unique and outstandingly employed. They taught us with vigor so that each pupil could return with confidence and strength, when time came to express ourselves. Asides from the proffessors, the daily activities were greatly enjoyed. We traveled to new adventures, and made friends that are 20 minutes away from my home as well as some that are 23 hours away. This was a truly enriching and unforgettable experience. I thuroughly appreciated the opportunity to grow in nknowledge as well as friendships. " Milton J Maldonado Torres.
