This year’s 12 Chefs…6 Vinos…1 Cena fundraising event was held on May 24th at the Caribe Hilton Hotel. It was a wonderful event celebrating the era of the elegant cruise ships such as the Queen Mary, the Queen Elizabeth and the Normandie with the excellent cuisine of twelve celebrity chefs, six delicious wines from Ballester Hermanos, elegant music reminiscent of the era by the Puerto Rico Philharmonic Orchestra, décor by Arquetipo and all set in the ballroom of the Caribe Hilton.
This year’s line-up of celebrity chefs included Mario Ferro (Caribe Hilton), Jeannette Berrios (La Concha), Aaron Wratten (Horned Dorset Primavera), Peter Schintler (Marmalade), Juan Peña (Trois Cent Onze), Ariel Rodríguez (August’s Cuisine), Dominik Wirz (Ponce Hilton), Dayn Smith (Pearl), Daniel Vasse (Chez Daniel), Jeremy Cruz, Pierre St. Hubert (El Meson Gallego) and Kabuti Lockhart (Bahamas Hilton). They all dazzled us with their flavors, creativity and artistry.
A Benefit Silent Auction featuring roundtrip business class tickets to Madrid on American Airlines, a cruise on Holland America Line to Alaska donated by First Class Services, cooking classes with Chef Augusto, wines from Ballester Hermanos and Boutique du Vin and hotel stays at the Caribe Hilton, La Concha Resort and Copamarina Beach Resort attracted attention from our guests and provided additional funds for our scholarship recipients.
All in all it was a lovely evening for a great cause!
