For the eighth year, the “12 Chefs…6 Wines…1 Dinner” culinary extravaganza was held on Monday, May 23rd in the ballroom at the Caribe Hilton Hotel. Twelve celebrity chefs including Mario Ferro (Caribe Hilton); David Chaymol (Bistro de Paris); Peter Schintler (Marmalade); Dirk Troop (Sheraton Old San Juan); Ariel Rodríguez (Augusto’s); Jannette Berrios (La Concha Resort); Rocio Varela (Sheraton PR Convention Center); Augusto Schreiner (The Art of Cooking School); Efrain Cruz (Gran Meliá); Daniel Vasse (Chef Daniel); Juan Peña (Trois Cent Onze); and Miguel Santiago (Las Casitas at El Conquistador) embraced this year’s theme of Eco Dining. To round out the evening, Ballester Hermanos poured various wines; the Puerto Rico Philharmonic Orchestra played beautifully; Arquetipo artfully decorated; Emcee Braulio entertained and American Airlines offered round-trip business class tickets for two to Europe. It was an outstanding evening and all for such a great cause.
